tedtalks: The format that made pseudoscience seem like just science.

I've an assignment to submit tomorrow,
and here I am procrastinating while watching a ted talk about procrastination which was in my "watch later'' folder for last 6 months

My brain: due tomorrow
Me: ok, do tomorrow

This is the best ted talk I've ever watched so far

I really loved this video! As a writer I too sometimes forget the difference between writers block and just plain resistance. This video helped me realize that the very definition of what I’m currently struggling with is that of procrastinating. Delaying my work with easy and short-term gratification. I haven’t had writers block in years and now I’m dealing with something that much more deadlier— PROCRASTINATION! I definitely need to make some deadlines.

What happens to me is that I just look at an assignment and then it's too hard at a glance so I say "eh, i'll do it later" and then later becomes the minute before class.

This is basically everyone. If our brain makes our behavior a little bit more efficient then it could really help a lot. Too bad we're lazy species

I saw this video recommended to me in 2020. I just watched it.

I spent one extra year in the university due to procrastination and getting late everywhere. I got late to the last exam.

As a procrastinator I can relate, I’ll procrastinate about work while feeling stressed about the work I haven’t done-
